DNA pol λ Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DNA pol lambda (POLL) protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DNA pol λ antibody (E-11) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DNA polymerase lambda, also known as DNA polymerase κ or Pol β2, is a low-fidelity polymerase encoded by the POLL gene and belongs to the DNA polymerase type-X family. DNA pol λ (E-11) monoclonal antibody recognizes an enzyme crucial for DNA repair and replication, particularly during DNA damage, as DNA pol λ facilitates the extension of primer-terminal mispairs opposite nondamaged DNA templates, which maintains genomic stability. DNA pol λ interacts with proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), a key protein in DNA replication, enhancing DNA synthesis ability. This interaction highlights DNA pol λ′s significance in both normal DNA replication and mutagenic bypass of DNA lesions, such as thymine-thymine dimers, playing an important role in cellular responses to DNA damage.
