E2F-2 Antibody (TFE22) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that recognizes E2F-2 in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). E2F-2 plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly in the transition from G1 to S phase, by controlling the expression of genes necessary for DNA synthesis and cell proliferation. E2F-2 regulation is vital for maintaining proper cell growth and division, and dysregulation can lead to uncontrolled cell proliferation, contributing to tumorigenesis. E2F-2 is part of a larger family of E2F transcription factors, which interact with retinoblastoma protein (Rb) to form a transcriptional regulatory complex essential for precise cell cycle progression control. Formation of heterodimers with DP-1 protein enhances E2F-2 transcriptional activity, enabling effective regulation of target genes involved in cell cycle control. Anti-E2F-2 antibody (TFE22) enables researchers to gain insights into cell cycle regulation mechanisms and E2F-2′s potential implications in cancer biology.
