HNF-3γ Antibody (A-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HNF-3 gamma protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HNF-3γ (A-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HNF-3 gamma protein plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression in the liver and other tissues, and is part of the hepatocyte nuclear factor family, which includes HNF-1 (α and β), HNF-3 (α, β, and γ), HNF-4 (α and γ), and HNF-6. These proteins are essential for transcriptional regulation of genes involved in metabolic processes and organ development. Specifically, HNF-3γ interacts with other transcription factors, such as HNF-1 and HNF-4, to coordinate expression of genes critical for liver function and development. Proper functioning of HNF-3γ is vital, as mutations or dysregulation can lead to metabolic disorders and developmental abnormalities. Understanding interactions and regulatory mechanisms involving HNF-3γ is important for elucidating its role in health and disease, making anti-HNF-3γ antibody (A-2) a valuable tool for researchers studying these processes.

What’s the concentration of protein Lysate loaded for the hepg2 wb and the dilution of primary ab used? Thanks

Asked by: Kp233
Thank you for the question. We suggest to follow our WB protocol https://www.scbt.com/scbt/de/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting and prior to optimization start with the antibody concentration at 1:200 and load 50µg protein HepG2 lysate.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-74424 X be used instead of the standard form sc-74424?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quite good antibodyThe antibody works, with a good band detected at the predicted molecular weight - with RIPA lysis buffer. Though, some aspecific signals are detected as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HNF3g antibody does not workAfter postive controls were included, we concluded that this antibody did not work with mouse or human HNF3g. You may see bands around ~ 50 kDa, but they are not true HNF3g bands.
