LZTR1 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects LZTR1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). LZTR1 (E-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. LZTR1 protein, known as leucine-zipper-like transcriptional regulator 1, is a crucial member of the BTB-kelch superfamily, characterized by two BTB (Broad-Complex, Tramtrack and Bric a brac) domains and six Kelch repeats. These structural features are significant as the BTB domain is involved in homodimerization and plays a vital role in transcriptional regulation by influencing chromatin structure and function. LZTR1 is predominantly expressed in fetal brain, heart, kidney, liver, and lung tissues, and is localized on the cytoplasmic surface of the Golgi network, where LZTR1 functions as a transcriptional regulator during embryogenesis. LZTR1 has been implicated in the etiology of velocardiofacial/DiGeorge syndrome, as LZTR1 gene resides within a chromosomal deletion region associated with this condition, highlighting LZTR1′s relevance in developmental biology and disease.

Does this antibody recognize the Drosophila ortholog CG3711?

Asked by: JackieG
Thank you for your question. Please contact our Technical Service Department and we would be happy to help you perform sequence analysis on the antibody's antigen to predict any potential cross-reactivity with drosophila. At this time, the antibody has not been tested in that species, nor are we aware of any publications using the antibody in that species.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390166 P appropriate for?

Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
