SEE ALSO...

MTGR1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects MTGR1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). MTGR1 (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. MTGR1, also known as CBFA2T2, is a nuclear protein encoded by the human CBFA2T2 gene and plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression within the RUNX1/AML1-ETO/MTG8 chimeric protein complex, which is associated with acute myeloid leukemia due to chromosomal translocation t(8;21). This complex is vital for hematopoiesis, and MTGR1′s ability to repress RUNX1-dependent transcription is significant for maintaining normal cellular growth and differentiation. Additionally, MTGR1 is implicated as a tumor suppressor candidate in myeloid tumors, particularly those with deletions in the 20q10-13 region, and MTGR1′s homo-oligomerization and hetero-oligomerization with MTG8 highlight MTGR1′s importance in cellular signaling pathways. Ubiquitously expressed in both fetal and adult tissues, MTGR1 deletion has been observed in approximately 10% of polycythemia vera cases, underscoring MTGR1′s relevance in hematological malignancies.
