SEE ALSO...

p-Fyn Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa antibody that detects Thr 12 phosphorylated Fyn of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). p-Fyn (D-1) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. Fyn, a member of the Src family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including signal transduction pathways that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and motility. Fyn is primarily localized in the cytoplasm and cell membrane, where Fyn is involved in the modulation of cellular signaling cascades. This localization is significant because Fyn interacts with various membrane-associated proteins and receptors, thereby influencing critical processes such as T-cell activation and synaptic signaling in neurons. The human Fyn gene, located on chromosome 6q21, encodes a 537 amino acid protein that is essential for T-cell receptor signaling, particularly in the context of immune responses. Understanding the functional implications of Fyn′s cellular localization helps researchers better elucidate Fyn′s role in health and disease, particularly in cancer and immune disorders.
