SEE ALSO...

PI 3-kinase p55γ Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects PI 3-kinase p55 gamma of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PI 3-kinase p55γ (E-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. PI 3-kinase p55 gamma plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in regulating cell growth, proliferation, and survival, making PI 3-kinase p55 gamma a significant target for cancer research and therapeutic interventions. PI 3-kinase p55 gamma is primarily located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the plasma membrane upon activation, where PI 3-kinase p55 gamma interacts with phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate to initiate downstream signaling cascades. Proper localization of PI 3-kinase p55 gamma is essential for function, as mislocalization can lead to aberrant signaling and contribute to various diseases, including cancer. Human PI 3-kinase p55 gamma consists of a unique amino terminal region, a proline-rich motif, and two Src homology 2 (SH2) domains, which are critical for interaction with other signaling molecules. Research indicates that PI 3-kinase p55 gamma interacts with insulin-like growth factor-I receptor and insulin receptor, suggesting involvement in PI 3-kinase activation by these receptors.

Hi, does this antibody cross react with alpha or delta, or does it react only with gamma?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. This antibody has not been tested for its cross-reactivity with alpha or delta isoforms. However, due to the low sequence similarity of the anitbody's epitope sequence and its equivalent sequences in the different subtypes, cross-rectivity is very improbable.
