PDPK1 Antibody (A-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects PDPK1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). PDPK1, also known as 3-phosphoinositide dependent protein kinase 1, is a 556 amino acid protein that is ubiquitously expressed and localizes to the cell membrane, cytoplasm, and nucleus, playing a crucial role in various cellular processes. PDPK1 (A-10) monoclonal antibody is essential for studying phosphorylation and activation of a subgroup of the AGC family of protein kinases, which are pivotal in mediating signal transduction pathways that control cell proliferation, survival, and growth, particularly in developing pancreatic beta cells. Additionally, PDPK1 regulates calcium uptake and calcium-activated potassium channels in mast cells, influences chemotaxis and motility in vascular endothelial cells, and is vital for cardiac homeostasis and thymocyte development. PDPK1′s structure includes a PH domain that is critical for homodimerization, localization, and nuclear import, alongside a protein kinase domain that facilitates enzymatic activity. PDPK1 exists as five alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 16p13.3, highlighting complexity and importance in cellular signaling networks. PDPK1 (A-10) monoclonal antibody is an invaluable tool for researchers studying these intricate pathways and diverse roles of PDPK1 in health and disease.
