SGK3 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SGK3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-SGK3 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The serine/threonine-protein kinase SGK3, also known as serum/glucocorticoid-regulated kinase 3, is a member of the serine/threonine protein kinase family and shares structural similarities with the Akt protein family. SGK3 plays a crucial role in mediating cell survival signals, particularly those dependent on interleukin-3, and is primarily localized to early endosomes and vesicle-like structures within the cell. SGK3 expression is widespread, with significant levels found in the kidney, liver, pancreas, brain, and heart, highlighting SGK3′s importance in various physiological processes. Notably, SGK3 regulates ion channels, including potassium channels, which are essential for maintaining cellular excitability and transport functions. Phosphorylation at serine 486 is a key post-translational modification that enhances SGK3 activation, further underscoring SGK3′s regulatory role in cellular signaling pathways.
