SEE ALSO...

BMP-3 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BMP-3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMP-3 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs), which belong to the TGFβ superfamily, play a crucial role in regulating bone and cartilage formation, making BMPs essential for skeletal development and repair. BMP-3 has been shown to inhibit excessive bone formation, thus maintaining a balance in bone homeostasis. This regulatory function is vital, as dysregulation of BMP signaling can lead to various skeletal disorders, including osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. BMP-3 interacts with other BMPs, such as BMP-2 and BMP-4, which promote cartilage formation, highlighting the intricate network of signaling pathways that govern skeletal development. BMP-3′s ability to modulate these interactions underscores its importance in both developmental biology and potential therapeutic applications.
