    SEE ALSO...

BMPR-II Antibody (Z-18) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects BMPR-II in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). BMPR-II, a member of the transforming growth factor β superfamily, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by forming a complex with type I receptors, which are essential for mediating the effects of bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) on gene expression, cell differentiation, and morphogenesis. BMPR-II is primarily located on the cell surface, where BMPR-II interacts with BMPs, including OP-1 and BMP-2, to initiate downstream signaling pathways that influence various biological processes. Proper functioning of BMPR-II is vital, as dysregulation has been implicated in several pathologies, including cancer and fibrotic diseases. Additionally, BMPR-II undergoes post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation, which can affect activity and stability, further underscoring BMPR-II′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Anti-BMPR-II antibody (Z-18) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying the intricate signaling mechanisms of BMPs and their implications in health and disease.

I am using BMPR-II (Z-18): sc-73752 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunoprecipitation protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoprecipitation-western-blots
