TLR2 Antibody (TL2.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TLR2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). TLR2 (TL2.1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TLR2 plays a crucial role in the immune system as a pattern recognition receptor that identifies pathogen-associated molecular patterns, particularly from Gram-positive bacteria and certain viruses. This function is vital for initiating innate immune responses, as TLR2 activation leads to the recruitment of immune cells and production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, thereby enhancing the host′s ability to combat infections. TLR2 is primarily located on the cell surface of immune cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, where TLR2 can effectively detect extracellular pathogens. TLR2′s structure includes a highly conserved Toll/IL-1 receptor (TIR) domain that is essential for downstream signaling, allowing for activation of transcription factors like NFκB, which orchestrate the inflammatory response.
