SEE ALSO...

p-caveolin-1 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects the Tyr 14 phosphorylated caveolin-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-p-caveolin-1 antibody (B-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Caveolin-1 plays a crucial role in the formation of caveolae, which are specialized flask-shaped invaginations of the plasma membrane that facilitate the transcytosis of macromolecules and the compartmentalization of signaling molecules. These structures are essential for cellular processes such as the uptake of small molecules and the regulation of signaling pathways involving G protein-coupled receptors. Caveolin-1, along with caveolin-2 and caveolin-3, forms the core components of caveolae, and phosphorylation at Tyr 14 is particularly significant as this modification is involved in growth factor signaling and is constitutively active in transformed cells. The interaction of caveolin-1 with various heterotrimeric G protein isoforms further underscores p-caveolin-1′s importance in cellular signaling and membrane dynamics. p-caveolin-1 (B-9) monoclonal antibody enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the functional roles of caveolin-1 in health and disease, making this reagent an indispensable tool for studies in cell biology and signaling pathways.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373837 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from goodI ran this protein for the first time, and it was still in the groping phase, including molecular weight and various conditions. It was found that the molecular weight was similar to that recommended in the prospectus. Finally, the exposed strip showed the development of the protein. However, the background of the strip is not very clean and fuzzy. It is not clear whether the condition of my experiment is not good or that the specificity of the antibody is not very good. It remains to be determined by further experiments.
