SEE ALSO...

DPRP1 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects DPRP1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DPRP1 (A-5) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. DPRP1 protein, also known as dipeptidyl-peptidase IV-related protein 1 or DPP8, is a member of the peptidase S9B family and is characterized by prolyl oligopeptidase activity, which is crucial for regulating various biological processes. DPRP1 protein is predominantly localized in the cytoplasm and is widely expressed across multiple tissues, including placenta, brain, prostate, testis, and muscle, highlighting potential roles in diverse physiological functions. DPRP1′s ability to cleave Xaa-Pro dipeptides from N-termini of proteins is significant, as this action can influence activity of various substrates, including those involved in immune responses and T-cell activation. Additionally, DPRP1 protein interacts with specific voltage-gated potassium channels, which may alter their expression and biophysical properties, further underscoring importance in cellular signaling pathways. Given involvement in critical processes and association with diseases such as type 2 diabetes, obesity, and cancer, DPRP1 serves as a valuable target for research and therapeutic applications.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with DPRP1 (A-5): sc-376399 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
