DSCR 1 Antibody (G-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DSCR 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DSCR 1 (G-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DSCR 1 protein, also known as Down syndrome critical region 1, Calcipressin-1, Adapt78, or myocyte-enriched calcineurin-interacting protein 1, is a 252 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating calcium signaling and is involved in the inhibition of calcineurin, a phosphatase that modulates various cellular processes, including muscle growth and neuronal signaling. This regulation is particularly important as DSCR 1 influences cardiac and nervous system development, and dysregulation of DSCR 1 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of Down syndrome. DSCR 1 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, brain, and heart tissues, highlighting its significance in these critical systems. Additionally, DSCR 1 interacts with Raf-1, further underscoring its role in cellular signaling pathways. The gene encoding DSCR 1 is located on human chromosome 21, a region associated with several genetic disorders, including Alzheimer′s disease and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, making the study of DSCR 1 vital for understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying these conditions.
