    HS6ST1 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects HS6ST1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-HS6ST1 antibody (C-9) is available as a non-conjugated format. HS6ST1, also known as heparan sulfate 6-O-sulfotransferase 1, is a crucial enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of heparan sulfate, a glycosaminoglycan that plays a significant role in various biological processes, including cell signaling, development, and tissue repair. This 411 amino acid single-pass type II membrane protein is expressed in the fetal brain and functions specifically to catalyze the transfer of sulfate from 3′-phosphoadenosine 5′-phosphosulfate (PAPS) to the N-sulfoglucosamine residue of heparan sulfate, thereby influencing the structural diversity and biological activity of heparan sulfate chains. HS6ST1 regulates the sulfation patterns of heparan sulfate, which can affect interactions with growth factors, morphogens, and extracellular matrix components, ultimately impacting cellular behavior and tissue homeostasis. Additionally, HS6ST1 undergoes post-translational N-glycosylation, which can further modulate activity and stability. Encoded by a functional gene on human chromosome 2 and a pseudogene on chromosome 1 (LOC728969), HS6ST1 is a vital component in the intricate network of cellular signaling and development.
