SEE ALSO...

TFPI-2 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TFPI-2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TFPI-2 antibody (B-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TFPI-2, also known as placental protein 5, plays a crucial role in blood coagulation regulation by inhibiting factor Xa activity and the factor VIIa-tissue factor complex, which is essential for the extrinsic coagulation pathway. This regulation is vital for maintaining hemostatic balance and preventing excessive clot formation, particularly in pathological conditions such as thrombosis. TFPI-2 is a multivalent, Kunitz-type proteinase inhibitor that circulates in association with plasma lipoproteins, including very low-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, and high-density lipoprotein, highlighting TFPI-2′s importance in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health. TFPI-2′s ability to modulate coagulation pathways makes this protein a significant target for research in cardiovascular diseases and related disorders.

What is recommended dilution of the anti-TFPI primary antibody for application of fixed cells?

Asked by: NNNN7
Thank you for your question. For immunofluorescence cell staining we recommend a dilution of 1:50- 1:500. Here is a link to our protocol.https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining. If you have additional questions, please contact Technical Support at 1800-457-3801 option 2, by emailing scbt@scbt.com or by live chat on our website at www.scbt.com so we may further assist you.

I am using TFPI-2 (B-7): sc-48380 monoclonal antibody to stain paraffin embedded tissue. Do you recommend antigen retrieval when using this antibody?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
