    SEE ALSO...

TRIM Antibody (D-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRIM protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRIM (D-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRIM protein, known as the T-cell receptor interacting molecule, plays a crucial role as a transmembrane adaptor protein that associates with the TCR-CD3z complex in human T lymphocytes and T cell lines, facilitating effective T cell signaling and activation. TRIM protein is characterized by its type III transmembrane structure, which includes an 8-amino acid extracellular domain and an intracellular domain featuring four potential phosphorylation sites and eight tyrosine residues, three of which are implicated in SH2-mediated interactions with other signaling proteins. The human TRIM gene is located on chromosome 3q13, a region associated with susceptibility to rheumatoid arthritis, and is situated near the CD28, CD86, and CD80 genes, which encode important T-cell costimulatory molecules. TRIM is predominantly expressed in T-cells and natural killer cells, with localization at the cell membrane allowing direct interaction with CD3z and CD3e, thereby enhancing T cell receptor signaling and contributing to immune responses.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-365105 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
