Wnt-5a Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Wnt-5a protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Wnt-5a antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wnt-5a plays a crucial role in cell signaling pathways essential for embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. Wnt-5a regulates cell fate determination, proliferation, and migration during development. Wnt-5a interacts with the Frizzled family of receptors, specifically human Frizzled-5, which mediates signaling effects. Such interaction modulates various biological processes, including hematopoietic stem cell function regulation, suggesting Wnt-5a may serve as a key player in hematopoiesis and potentially in stem cell niche maintenance. Wnt-5a expression is developmentally regulated and detected in various tissues, including brain, lung, and heart, highlighting significance in both developmental and adult physiology.
