Datasheets
  • Yotiao Antibody (7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 17-130 of Yotiao of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Yotiao and full-length AKAP 9 of human origin by WB, IP and IF
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Yotiao Antibody (7) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Yotiao Antibody (7) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

    SEE ALSO...

Yotiao Antibody (7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Yotiao protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Anti-Yotiao antibody (7) is available as the non-conjugated format. Yotiao protein, also known as A-kinase anchoring protein 9 (AKAP9), plays a crucial role in the spatial regulation of signaling pathways within cells. Yotiao (7) antibody localizes to both centrosomes and the Golgi apparatus throughout the cell cycle, which is essential for its function as a scaffolding protein that assembles protein kinases and phosphatases for substrate-specific phosphorylation. This localization allows Yotiao to effectively coordinate the activity of the type II cAMP-dependent protein kinase (PKA) with its substrates, thereby influencing various cellular processes. Yotiao (7) monoclonal antibody interacts with the NR1 subunit of the NMDA receptor, facilitating the cAMP-dependent modulation of NMDA receptor activity at synapses. This interaction is vital for brain development and synaptic plasticity, highlighting the importance of Yotiao in neuronal signaling and function. The unique C-terminus of the Yotiao isoform, which contains an additional 12 amino acid sequence not found in AKAP9, further distinguishes its functional properties. Yotiao is predominantly expressed in the pancreas and skeletal muscle, underscoring its significance in both neuronal and muscle physiology.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with Yotiao (7): sc-136177 monoclonal antibody?

    Asked by: TinTin
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10ºC methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
