SNAT3 Antibody (H-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects SNAT3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SNAT3 (H-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SNAT3 protein, also known as SLC38A3, plays a crucial role as a glutamine transporter, primarily expressed in astroglia throughout development and into adulthood, as well as in the liver. SNAT3 function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and supporting metabolic processes, as glutamine is a key amino acid involved in energy production, nitrogen metabolism, and neurotransmitter cycling. Notably, SNAT3 expression levels in the postnatal brain are significantly elevated, being twice that of normal adult levels, which may indicate SNAT3′s importance in neurodevelopment and potential implications in neurological disorders. Furthermore, increased SNAT3 expression has been associated with primary malignant gliomas, serving as a potential biomarker for tumor presence.
