    SEE ALSO...

ACAD-10 Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ACAD-10 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ACAD-10 (F-11) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. The Acyl-CoA dehydrogenase (ACAD) family of enzymes plays a crucial role in the catabolism of fatty acids and amino acids, providing essential energy sources for the heart and skeletal muscle. ACAD-10, also known as acyl-Coenzyme A dehydrogenase family member 10, consists of 1,059 amino acids and is expressed in four alternatively spliced isoforms, with the highest expression levels found in the liver, kidney, pancreas, and spleen. Notably, ACAD-10 is involved in the mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation pathway, which is vital for energy production, particularly during periods of fasting or prolonged exercise. The gene encoding ACAD-10 is located on chromosome 12, a region that encompasses over 1,100 genes and accounts for approximately 4.5% of the human genome. This chromosome is linked to various diseases, including hypochondrogenesis, achondrogenesis, Kniest dysplasia, Noonan syndrome, and trisomy 12p, which can lead to facial developmental defects and seizure disorders. ACAD-10′s ability to interact with other proteins involved in metabolic pathways further underscores its importance in maintaining cellular energy homeostasis and overall metabolic health.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-393248 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
