    SEE ALSO...

Cathepsin E Antibody (C-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects cathepsin E in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cathepsin E is a nonlysosomal, intracellular proteinase that plays a crucial role in processing proteins and peptides, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating immune responses. Unique localization within the cytoplasm allows cathepsin E to participate in the degradation of misfolded or damaged proteins, thereby preventing the accumulation of potentially harmful aggregates. Cathepsin E is involved in the maturation of certain immune cells, highlighting its importance in both innate and adaptive immunity. The ability of cathepsin E to interact with specific proteins, such as major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecules, further underscores its significance in antigen presentation and immune system function. Anti-cathepsin E antibody (C-7) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying proteolytic pathways and immune responses.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166501 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
