    IVD Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects IVD protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-IVD antibody (A-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. IVD protein, or Isovaleryl-CoA dehydrogenase, mitochondrial, is a crucial 423 amino acid enzyme encoded by the human gene IVD, located in the mitochondrial matrix. IVD (A-8) monoclonal antibody plays a vital role in studying the catabolism of branched-chain amino acids by detecting proteins that catalyze the conversion of isovaleryl-CoA to 3-methylcrotonyl-CoA, a key step in the metabolic pathway that helps maintain energy homeostasis. Disruptions in the IVD gene can lead to the production of dysfunctional isoforms, resulting in isovaleric acidemia, a serious metabolic disorder characterized by the accumulation of toxic metabolites. There are two recognized forms of this condition: the acute neonatal form, which can lead to severe metabolic acidosis and rapid mortality, and a chronic form that presents with intermittent episodes of ketoacidosis. Understanding the function of IVD protein is essential for developing therapeutic strategies for managing these metabolic disorders, making anti-IVD antibody (A-8) a valuable tool for researchers studying its role in human health and disease.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good antibodyI used this antibody at 1:1000 dilution on 20ug protein lysates from murine B cells. I washed the membrane 2 times with TBST for 8 mins after primary and secondary. Gave good bands with least background.
