Ral A/B Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Ral A/B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Ral A/B antibody (E-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. Ral A and Ral B are integral members of the Ras-related GTPase family, playing crucial roles in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. Ral A/B proteins are primarily located in the cytoplasm and can translocate to the plasma membrane upon activation, which is essential for their function in signaling pathways. Ral A/B proteins interact with specific downstream effectors, such as Ral BP-1, which contains a Rho-GTPase-activating domain, highlighting their importance in regulating cytoskeletal dynamics and cellular morphology. Additionally, Ral A and Ral B are activated by the unique nucleotide exchange factor Ral GDS and are deactivated by specific GTPase-activating proteins, distinguishing them from other Ras proteins. While Ral proteins do not induce transformed foci in recipient cells like their Ras counterparts, Ral A/B proteins are involved in critical signaling pathways, such as the Ras/Ral pathway that mediates phospholipase D activation by v-Src, further emphasizing their role in cellular signaling and potential implications in cancer biology.
