AChRα3 Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects AChRα3 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-AChRα3 antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. AChRα3, also known as CHRNA3, is a 505 amino acid multi-pass membrane protein that plays a crucial role in neurotransmission as a member of the ligand-gated ion channel receptor family. AChRα3 is primarily located at the postsynaptic membrane of the neuromuscular junction, where binding acetylcholine facilitates ion movement through a transmembrane aqueous pore. AChRα3 functioning is vital for muscle contraction and communication between nerve cells, allowing rapid synaptic transmission. Additionally, synapse activity is tightly regulated by acetylcholinesterase, which hydrolyzes acetylcholine to terminate signals.
