ATP5E Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ATP5E protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ATP5E (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ATP5E, also known as mitochondrial ATPase ε chain, plays a crucial role in ATP synthesis within mitochondria, which is essential for cellular energy production. ATP5E functions as part of the ATP synthase complex, which consists of two main components: F1 catalytic core and F0 membrane channel. F1 complex is composed of three alpha and three beta subunits, along with one gamma, one delta, and one epsilon subunit, while F0 complex includes three subunits: a, b, and c. ATP5E, being the smallest of F1 chains at just 50 amino acids, is vital for proper functioning of ATP synthase, as ATP5E helps facilitate conversion of electrochemical gradient generated by protons into chemical energy stored in ATP. Localization of ATP5E to mitochondria underscores ATP5E′s importance in energy metabolism, making ATP5E a significant target for studies related to mitochondrial function and dysfunction.
