ATP5F1 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ATP5F1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ATP5F1 (C-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ATP5F1, also known as ATP synthase, H+ transporting, mitochondrial F0 complex, subunit B1, plays a crucial role in cellular energy production by forming part of the F0 complex of mitochondrial ATP synthase, which is essential for ATP synthesis during oxidative phosphorylation. ATP5F1 is located in the mitochondrial membrane, where ATP5F1 contributes to the formation of a proton channel that allows protons to flow back into the mitochondrial matrix, driving the synthesis of ATP from adenosine diphosphate and inorganic phosphate. Proper functioning of ATP5F1 is vital for maintaining cellular energy levels, and any dysfunction can lead to metabolic disorders and mitochondrial diseases. ATP5F1 is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 1, which spans approximately 260 million base pairs and comprises nearly 8% of the human genome, highlighting evolutionary significance and complexity of regulation.
