Bag-1 Antibody (19) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Bag-1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Bag-1 is a critical protein that plays a significant role in regulating apoptosis, acting as a Bcl-2-binding protein that enhances the protective effects of Bcl-2 against cell death. Anti-Bag-1 antibody (19) enables researchers to study a novel anti-apoptotic mechanism, potentially influencing therapeutic strategies in diseases characterized by dysregulated apoptosis, such as cancer. Bag-1′s ability to modulate Bcl-2 activity highlights its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and survival, particularly under stress conditions. By studying Bag-1 and its interactions using Bag-1 monoclonal antibody (19), researchers can gain insights into the complex pathways governing cell death and survival, paving the way for innovative approaches in targeted therapies.

I am using Bag-1 (19): sc-135844 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
