Datasheets
  • CD2 Antibody (UMCD2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against rheumatoid synovial T cell line ST-1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of CD2 of human origin by WB, IP, IF and FCM
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP and m-IgG2a BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CD2 Antibody (UMCD2) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CD2 Antibody (UMCD2) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

CD2 Antibody (UMCD2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects CD2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD2 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein primarily expressed on peripheral blood T lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and thymocytes, as well as on mouse B cells and rat splenic macrophages. CD2 mediates cell adhesion by interacting with CD58, which enhances antigen-specific T cell activation. This interaction is vital for optimizing immune system recognition, as CD2 facilitates communication between helper T lymphocytes and antigen-presenting cells, as well as between cytolytic effectors and target cells. The importance of CD2 in immune responses underscores CD2′s potential as a therapeutic target in various immunological disorders. Anti-CD2 antibody (UMCD2) provides a reliable tool for researchers studying T cell activation and immune interactions, contributing to a deeper understanding of immune system dynamics.
