ERp57 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ERp57 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ERp57, also known as GRP57, GRP58, ERp60, and ERp61, plays a crucial role in the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I pathway, which is essential for the immune response against intracellular pathogens. Anti-ERp57 antibody (E-7) targets a protein primarily located in the endoplasmic reticulum, where ERp57 assists in the proper folding and assembly of MHC class I molecules, ensuring effective presentation of antigenic peptides to cytotoxic T lymphocytes. ERp57 gene is located on chromosome 15q15 and encodes a 505 amino acid protein containing two highly conserved Trp-Cys-Gly-His-Cys-Lys motifs, underscoring evolutionary importance. ERp57 exhibits multifunctional properties, acting as a protease, protein disulfide isomerase, and potentially a phospholipase, which highlights significance in cellular processes. ERp57 (E-7) antibody serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying immune responses and protein interactions in various biological contexts.
