  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 26-45 near the N-terminus of HLA-A of human origin
  • recommended for detection of a broad range of HLA antigens of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • See MHC class I (W6/32): sc-32235 for HLA-A antibody conjugates, including AC, HRP, FITC, PE, Alexa Fluor® 488, 594, 647, 680 and 790.
  • Contact our Technical Service Department (or your local Distributor) for more information on how to receive a FREE 10 µg sample of HLA-A (B-11): sc-390473.
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for HLA-A Antibody (B-11) for WB and IHC(P) applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with HLA-A Antibody (B-11) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

HLA-A Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects HLA-A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). HLA-A Antibody (B-11) is available as the non-conjugated anti-HLA-A antibody (B-11). HLA-A plays a crucial role in the immune system as a member of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules, which are essential for presenting intracellular peptides to CD8+ T lymphocytes. This presentation is vital for the immune response, enabling recognition and elimination of infected or malignant cells. HLA-A is expressed on nearly all nucleated cells, facilitating surveillance of cellular health and integrity. Due to polymorphic nature, HLA-A presents diverse peptides critical for adaptive immune response, helping recognize various pathogens. Structural characteristics of HLA-A, including membrane-anchored heavy chain forming a heterodimer with β-2-Microglobulin, are fundamental to antigen presentation function. HLA-A polymorphisms result in numerous alleles, influencing individual immune responses and holding significance in transplantation and disease susceptibility studies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390473 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
