    SEE ALSO...

M-cadherin Antibody (C-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects M-cadherin of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). M-cadherin Antibody (C-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. M-cadherin, also known as cadherin-15, belongs to the cadherin family of calcium-dependent cell adhesion molecules, which maintain tissue integrity and facilitate cell-cell interactions. M-cadherin primarily resides in skeletal muscle cells, where M-cadherin (C-8) antibody proves essential for myoblast fusion and muscle cell differentiation. M-cadherin expression remains notably low in fibroblasts but increases significantly during myotube formation, highlighting M-cadherin′s importance in muscle development and regeneration. M-cadherin′s extracellular domain contains five subdomains that mediate homophilic interactions, allowing precise adhesion necessary for muscle tissue architecture. Understanding M-cadherin′s function and regulation remains vital, as disruptions in M-cadherin expression or function can lead to muscle-related diseases and impairments in muscle regeneration.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398107 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
