SEE ALSO...

Cdc25A Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc25A of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). Cdc25A monoclonal antibody (F-6) is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc25A plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, specifically in the transition from G2 phase to mitosis. Cdc25A acts as a phosphatase that dephosphorylates cyclin-dependent kinase Cdc2, thereby activating the Cdc2/cyclin B complex, which is essential for mitosis initiation. Precise regulation of Cdc25A is vital, as overexpression can lead to uncontrolled cell division and has been implicated in various cancers. Cdc25A activity is tightly controlled by post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can either activate or inhibit function, highlighting the importance of understanding regulatory mechanisms in cell cycle progression and tumorigenesis.

How can I get the antigen peptide for Competition Assay to verify the specific bands in my samples?

Asked by: Stav
This antibody is not raised against a peptide, but rather is raised against a recombinant protein. Therefore, no blocking peptide antigen is available. We would recommend using alternative positive and negative controls to verify the specificity of your results with this antibody.

I bought this antibody after seeing several citations, however it does not show any bands at 1:200 dilution as suggested by other users. I used U2OS cell lysate known to express CDC25A from many publications. Please help me !

Asked by: emily and jack
Thank you for your question. Please contact our Technical Service Department and we can assist you in troubleshooting the antibody, Cdc25A (F-6): sc-7389. A dilution of 1:200 should be appropriate, and we recommend loading 50 µg of whole cell lysate protein. A link to our complete recommended protocol for Western blotting is below as a reference. Please call our Asian Support office toll-free at 800-820-8626, email asia@scbio.cn, or contact us by live chat. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting

I recently brought Cdc25a antibody from Santa Cruz (sc-7389) , after seeing several citations. But I am not getting any expression in HEK293T cells, while several articles showed Cdc25A expression in HEK293T cells. Please suggest me some tips?

Asked by: Das S

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good antibody! This antibody gives good result by western blot! I used it in 1:200 dilution in PBS 0,02% tween (o.n night incubation at 4°) and I obtained a clear and specific band at the proper molecular weight in Raji cell line.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great to detect degradation after damageWe've been using this for quite long time. It worked nicely to detect Cdc25A degradation, especially after DNA damage. It worked better for human, for mouse it is much weaker.
