p14 ARF Antibody (DCS-241) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects p14 ARF of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). p14 ARF monoclonal antibody (DCS-241) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. p14 ARF protein plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle by acting as a tumor suppressor, primarily through interaction with MDM2 protein. By binding to MDM2, p14 ARF prevents MDM2 from promoting p53 degradation, thereby stabilizing p53 levels and enhancing p53′s ability to induce cell cycle arrest and apoptosis in response to cellular stress. This interaction maintains genomic integrity and prevents tumorigenesis, as p53 is a key player in cellular response to DNA damage. p14 ARF′s ability to modulate MDM2 and p53 activity underscores p14 ARF′s importance in cancer biology and highlights p14 ARF′s potential as a therapeutic target.
