Cyclin D1 Antibody (HD11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects cyclin D1 of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting, immunoprecipitation, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry. Cyclin D1 (HD11) antibody is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cyclin D1 plays a pivotal role in regulating the cell cycle, particularly at the G1 to S phase transition, which is crucial for cell proliferation and growth. By binding to cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), cyclin D1 facilitates the phosphorylation of the retinoblastoma protein, leading to the release of E2F transcription factors that promote the expression of genes necessary for DNA synthesis. Dysregulation of cyclin D1 is associated with various cancers, as cyclin D1 can lead to uncontrolled cell division and tumorigenesis. The identification of cyclin D1 as a putative oncogene, designated PRAD1, highlights cyclin D1′s significance in cancer research and therapy, making cyclin D1 monoclonal antibody (HD11) an essential tool for studying cell cycle regulation and oncogenesis.
