Background

SYPL1 is a gene that codes for a protein that has two isoforms, with lengths of 259 and 241 amino acids and weights of approximately 29 and 26 kDa respectively. Current research is being done on diseases and disorders related to this gene including neruonitis and alcoholism. SYPL1 has also been shown to have interactions with VAMP2.
